I doubt the reported $95 retail. This is gold-tone, not gold plated. It has a second-by-second ticking sound, opposed to the tick-tick-tick-tick you hear in finer watches. I bought two and could hear them ticking 6 or 7 feet away in a fairly quite room.
It just arrived and I can not yet determine how well it keeps time. The face does say "quartz". Otherwise I can not vouch for the internal mechanism. It weighs in at 2.2 ounces (62.5 grams) which may say alot about the quality of the build.
Pressing the top button instantly springs open the face which firmly snaps shut. Pull up the knob slightly and rotate to set the time. The second hand freezes until you press the knob back down. It comes with a chain-link, not the chain pictured here, with same clip. Appears it could be used on a belt or button hole. Nothing fancy but it does the job if you tighten the clip with a pinch.
I believe the retail price is exaggerated, but still a great deal on this pocket watch. I could not find a better price anywhere on the web. Only your jewler will know for sure about the quality. Otherwise, a lovely pocket watch and worth the price paid as a costume piece.
