The actual band looks like that cheap gold plated looking stuff. The picture makes it look much more fashionable and expensive. if i knew the band looked so cheap i would not have ordered it.

This has been a great watch for that purpose, but I must say that he sometimes keeps it on in place of his dress watch when we go out. He loves the watch and no one would ever know by looking at the watch that it was so inexpensive. My husband has always had a problem with watches being way to large for his wrist & this expansion band fit's him perfectly without having to have adjustments from a jeweler. Great watch at a great price.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this watch on July 22, 2009, and when I first received it, I was impressed at how rich looking and substantial this inexpensive watch was. Unfortunatley it stopped keeping time after only 3 months, although the Indiglo feature still works just fine. That would rule out a dead battery problem, so I will have to assume the watch itself is defective. It's still under warranty but you know what a pain it is to send it in for a refund or replacement. I would not recommend this watch.

After wearing the watch for two weeks, it stopped running one night.
The next day it started up for a few hours and stopped again.
One more day went by and it started again before stopping for good.
I am returning the watch to Timex for repairs.
The watch looked great. Unfortunately, it would not keep working.
