(More customer reviews)I owned an original Ironman watch for years and liked it. This is an improved version one of the of the original "sports watches." Like the original, this one is very light although it's a little bulkier. The buttons on this one are much easier to press and seem more durable. The display is very easy to read and it has some type of reflective background that really makes the digits stand out. At night the Indiglo light is very handy. The Velcro strap is easy to put on and it has a little bit of stretch to it, You can fit it snuggly to your wrist but without it feeling constrictive. It's not the most attractive watch but it's ideal for sport activities or when you just need a basic, durable watch.

(More customer reviews)I'm an Ironman distance triathlete, and I've gone through several Timex Ironman watches. This one, thus far, has been the best Ironman watch I've owned. What attracted me to this watch is the unique black background with the silver display; the display stands out and is very easy to read, whether you're swimming, biking or running. The watch just has a very sleek and sporty look. But beyond the looks, it is also a very functional, and easy to use watch. It has a 50 lap storage capacity, with easy recall. The interval timer, which can be set to run continuously, so that it automatically resets itself to it's preset countdown time, is great for reminding yourself to take in fluid and nutritional needs, at whatever time interval you set it for. The indiglo back light is quite bright, making it very easy to read the display in dark conditions (I do wish the back light would stay lit longer than the quick second or two that it does stay lit, but that's more of a suggestion than a complaint). The only complaint that I do have regarding this watch, is not the watch itself, but the wristband. It's not a solid wristband; it has a lot of spaces, which makes the wristband very prone to wearing out and breaking. And once the wristband breaks, you can't just replace the band, because the band is intergrated into the watch body, so you have to buy a whole new watch. I've had my watch for two years (and have had to replace the battery only twice during that time, which I think is pretty darn good for the amount of use I put my watch through) and my band just now broke, so I'm in the process of searching for another one of these great watches. If Timex would change the design of the wristband, and make the wristband solid, this would be the perfect Ironman triathlon watch (if you don't care about having a watch that is also a heart rate monitor, and I don't). So, the watch itself, I give it 5 stars (more if I could) but because of the poor designed wristband, I've rated the watch, overall, at a four, but don't let that one flaw stop you from owning the best sports watch I've ever had the pleasure of owning. If you want a unique and sporty looking watch that performs at an Ironman level, than this is the watch you're looking for.

(More customer reviews)This is the best watch for the money. This is my 3rd Ironman 30 Lap. They are virtually indestructible. I only upgrade when the battery gets low after about 4 years. I've tried other watches for a few months between 30 laps, but can't find anything I like as much and keep going back. Thinner than most. Forward and backward setting of times and alarms- you don't have to go 'around the horn' to set your alarm for 10 minutes earlier. Great features, accurate, and tough.

(More customer reviews)I needed to replace another Timex Ironman 100 lap watch I had purchased a few years back (the rubber frame that holds the strap broke). Really liked this watch because of the large readout, ease of use, lap calculation. I'm a Marathoner and novice Triathlete, so a good, simple, versatile watch is an important piece of equipment for me. After looking for over a month, I decided to purchase the Timex Triathlon 100 Lap Flix System Watch, and I'm glad I did. Great readout, easy button control (start and split are much more pronounced - great improvement) and a very sturdy velcro strap makes this a winner for me. I've already used the timer function with alarm for my swim and bike intervals, and of course the chrono function with splits is easy to read and use. This is a great watch!

(More customer reviews)I've had various incarnations of the Timex Ironman watches over the years. They take a beating and have great functionality. To me, this model has about the best practical value overall, being rather feature-laden without being overcomplicated. One distinct value of this watch over the "sleek" and similar models, is that it does NOT have an integrated band. Sure, integrated bands look cool, but if you wear the watch daily the band will start to break down after about a year and then you have to send it back to Timex for a new band. Not so with this watch. New users will have to take a little time to figure out the various functions of the watch, but once you get the idea, operation is very logical. The stopwatch is great for training, having more laps at your disposal than you're ever likely to need, multiple timers and alarms, and two time zones. These are also useful for training, but also just useful in general life (moreso than you'd think). In all, a solid choice for a digital sports watch, and an excellent value considering Amazon's prices. Highly recommended.
