1) Lightweight: You'll forget your wearing it.
2) Thin: Most of the thin watches I see are designed for girls. I can confirm that wearing this watch will not lose your manliness.
3) Simple: If you want more, glue a smartphone to your wrist. Then repeatedly bang your head on it.
4) Quality: It's Casio (okay okay Gshock is awful, but lets pretend that was an accident).
5) Looks: Retro classic professional nerdy sporty all in one. I personally feel like I belong to a special club when I wear this. Some useful information:

(More customer reviews)I abuse my watches, so there's no point in getting an expensive one. The two features I'd like to change about this watch are: 1) Add a timer feature and 2)Make the buttons smaller so they don't get accidentally pushed. I had a Timex Expedition for many years, but they don't make it any more. This one is probably slightly dressier-looking than the more rugged Expedition, but I prefer the Expedition for its timer and it's smaller buttons.

(More customer reviews)The style of the watch is great. Not for everybody but perfect for some, like me. It gets some laughs because it is gold (in color) but just a basic casio digital. Its kind of a gag but very stylish to me. You will probably be the only person you know wearing one of these. I particularly like the flat gold colored plastic face, which is a nice subtle contrast with the shiny golden metal. In the 10 or 12 months that I have been wearing it the time has never wavered. The full-screen blue backlight is nice looking and fun, but it stopped working shortly after I got it, then suddenly started working again briefly, and now never works. (still keeping time perfectly though) I bought it here on Amazon, but it is not stocked by Amazon. I think these ones for sale are old stock, with batteries running all the while. ...Also, having not been very careful and washing my hands often at work, the watch has tarnished on many of the edges. I havent looked closely, but it appears irreversable. Still, this is my favorite watch ever, and I'm about to buy another. I thought I would alternate with the casio calculator watch I bought around the same time, but my habit quickly became wearing this gold one all the time.

Pros:
It keeps accurate time,
Looks good,
Is waterproof even in the shower, diving, or surfing,
Is light weight,
The Indiglo light is great,
The functions are easy to use,
You don't need the manual to figure it out, unlike Casio,
Stainless steel band looks great and lasts for years.
Band is easy to adjust compared to Casio.
The price is low so you can just buy a new one when the battery goes,
The battery lasts for years if you don't use the light or alarm too much,
I'm very active and hard on watches. As they say, it takes a linkin' and keeps on tickin'.
Cons:
The band is stainless steel but the silver color on the watch is just silver paint on plastic. It wears away by the time the battery fades. That's ok with me because I just buy a new watch anyway.

Timex Women's T49661 Expedition Classic Digital Chronograph Watch Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted a watch that looks good, is accurate, water resistant, able to take everyday knocks and, more importantly, isn't too big on the wrist. My choice boiled down to two - Casio G-Shock and Timex Expedition. The G-Shocks are the toughest watches money can buy (probably) and seemed to fit all the criteria, so I got one. However, I've found that it's just that bit too chunky for me. And then I found this.
Timex have several models in this Expedition range with only cosmetic differences to the case and strap. All of them look great, but I decided on this all black version. As a guy, I was a bit worried that a midsize watch might be too small (and girlie) for my 7" wrist, but I'm pleased to say that it isn't at all, though Timex also have a larger version (T45961 and variants). Personally, I prefer the smaller size. Having a resin case means it's also very light and durable.
I won't dwell on the features as these are pretty much standard for a digital watch, though the digits are a good size and in addition you do get three alarms and a timer, plus one other feature that sets Timex apart and which I love - Indiglo - in this case illuminating only the digits not the whole face, which I think is more refined. I'm also greatly impressed with the overall finish and quality feel of the watch. For example, the lettering is etched, rather rather than printed, and the buttons have positive and wobble-free operation.
Unlike the reviewer below, I've decided to keep the supplied strap primarily because it's extremely well made. I thought it would be flimsy and need replacement, but if anything the opposite is true. Apart from having resin pieces at the spring bar ends engraved with the 'E' logo, greatly adding to the overall look, it's made of a double layer of nylon and edge stitched. It's therefore quite thick (about 2mm) with a substantial stainless steel buckle and the holes are very cleanly cut and finished with no burrs. I think it adds greatly to the overall quality and I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts for the lifetime of the watch. I also think that the black and grey stripes on this model look cool, too!
Overall, a very good-looking, unobtrusive and durable watch, and quite impressive quality even at twice the price. If you're a guy looking for a smaller size watch with no loss of functionality or features then I'd have no hesitation in unreservedly recommending this, and/or other Expedition series watches from Timex.

(More customer reviews)I really like this watch, I got it for working out and jogging. I think it has a nice pleasant look to it, unlike many digital watches, and it is very comfortable to wear. Watch is very lightweight and the band looks very handsome. Has everything you really need, two time zones, timer, stopwatch, daily alarm, indiglo. I use the stopwatch to time how long my tea brews, and the timer to keep myself from burning things in the oven. The alarm has no snooze, so I wouldn't rely on that to wake you up, but perhaps you could use the alarm as a reminder to do something. For 15 bucks, this watch is a great buy.
