(More customer reviews)Just got this watch after ordering a few days ago. Strange thing is, you won't find any product information about it on Casio's US website. Let's get to it:
Pros:
1) Not as bulky as a G-Shock:
If you're like me and you want a fully-functioning digital watch without the enormous bulk of a G-Shock, then this watch may fit your bill (even the midsize G-Shocks are tad too large in my book). However, this watch isn't tiny either: The across-width, measured between the buttons on either side but not including buttons, is just a 1/16 inch shy 1.5 inches. The top-to-bottom height, measured between the outside of the top bezel above the "Casio" insignia to the outside of the lower bezel below the "WATER 100M RESIST" is 1 3/16 inches, and just about 1/2 inch thick.
2) Plenty of features:
Dual time, stop-watch with split times, displays the time during the stop-watch function, date setup that knows the day of the week (accounts for leap year too), large display, snooze alarm (!), etc.
3) Great price:
For the value alone I give it the 5-star rating
Cons:
1) Bezel around the crystal is flush with the surface of the crystal - this could lead to scratches if you're not careful
2) Light is not the back lighting "Illuminator" of some other Casio watches - it's green glow that lights from the bottom-left of the display - kinda meh but it does stay on for a few seconds after depressing.
3) Could use a count-down timer.
4) The watch does not allow you keep the light on by keeping the light button depressed. Still turns off after about 1.5 seconds. Can be quite irritating when you're trying to read the watch after waking up all blurry-eyed but I'm sure it's part of keeping that 10 year battery claim.
In closing, this watch isn't gonna win any beauty contests, but it's functions, simplicity, and discrete look are what sold me.
[UPDATE 2010.09.30 - added con number 4 but not removing a star. I'm still wearing the watch and I am still enjoying it]

Timex Men's T5H981 Ironman 30-Lap Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch Review

(More customer reviews)I've owned many of the Timex Ironman watches including 4 of this style with the metal bands over the last 20 or so years. All have been great watches. I bought this watch only because my present watch battery is dying and the casing is looking aged - letters are worn and faded - not as dressy as when new, but still a great watch.
However, this watch has a design flaw - a weak point in the pin where the band connects to the watch. I bought my watch in November and the pin broke twice - within 3 weeks each time. Both of the times the watch had slipped down against against where my hand meets my wrist. When I used my hand to get up from sitting on a bleacher seat, the leverage from the hand against the band snapped the pin. The second break happened in a similar matter. Nothing unusually stressful. Never had this happen with any of my other Timex watches. The design flaw is that the pin is not replaceable by the user. There's no way to get to the pin or to replace it. Fortunately, I was able to return my watch where I bought it each time it broke.(The store agreed they couldn't fix it). The last time was for good. I immediately had a new $4 battery put in my older Ironman and it's working like new again. Still faded, but working great. Hope Timex can correct this flaw with the band because I like the way this watch looks and functions. You expect Ironman watches AND their bands to be tougher than this.

Timex Kids' T77261 My First Timex Light Blue Strap Watch Review

(More customer reviews)My 5yo and 6yo daughters asked for a "real watch" after they each received an analog watch for Christmas last year, neither of which kept the correct time. We purchased this watch (and the one in pink) after reading the reviews and our own experience with the Timex brand. This watch has more than exceeded their (and our) expectations. The soft-buttery leather strap fits nicely around their wrists - it is not too big (they can wear it on the tightest fitting). The watch face is large enough for them to read the time, altho' as young girls it doesn't appear to be too big in proportion to their body. As well, second-hand has helped them learn more about time. The Indiglo Light is a bonus for fun, altho' now they insist on wearing their watches to bed (even tho' they each have a digital alarm clock). As well, the water-resistant feature is a plus because they still like to get messy and clean up on their own. This is a great watch at an excellent price that I expect they will own for some time and will grow with each of them into their 'tween years.

(More customer reviews)I really like this watch, I got it for working out and jogging. I think it has a nice pleasant look to it, unlike many digital watches, and it is very comfortable to wear. Watch is very lightweight and the band looks very handsome. Has everything you really need, two time zones, timer, stopwatch, daily alarm, indiglo. I use the stopwatch to time how long my tea brews, and the timer to keep myself from burning things in the oven. The alarm has no snooze, so I wouldn't rely on that to wake you up, but perhaps you could use the alarm as a reminder to do something. For 15 bucks, this watch is a great buy.

Timex Men's T41101 Expedition Metal Analog and Digital Combo Watch Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this watch a couple weeks ago to replace a previous Timex Ironman digital that had served me well for several years.
I read lots of reviews here and elsewhere before deciding on this one.
Overall, I like the watch, but I'd like to point out several key flaws that may help others make a more informed decision.
1) This is an adult men's watch. However, the band is too short for adult men with adult wrists. I am of average build (5'11, 208 lbs) and would not say I have unusally thick wrists. The band, even on the longest adjustment, is too snug to be comfortable. I contacted Timex, and they were nice enough to send me 2 free links. They normally sell 4 links for $4, so you may or may not have to pay for them. I had a jeweler add 1 link, and now the band is perfect, at least in length. I paid $8 to have the link installed. Note that you cannot install the link yourself unless you have the tool for it. Amazon sells the tool for around $[..] if you don't want to pay someone else. I mention all this because it adds to the total cost of the watch and should be considered.
2) Also related band-related is the quality issue. The band itself appears very well-made. It's certainly not as solid or heavy as my wife's Rolex, but it looks good and has a nice secure clasp mechanism. The problem is with the finish. Contrary to what some other reviewers have posted, my band began showing signs of wear after only a few DAYS. The underside of the clasp has worn completely through to bare silver. What do I do for a living? I work on a computer. The clasp rubs slightly on my desk as I move the mouse. My previous Timex showed the same type of wear, but only after many months on constant rubbing. Needless to say, this finish is only durable if you don't actually bring it in contact with anything more abrasive than a hand towel.
3) Features (or lack thereof). The main watch is of course analog, and seems to keep decent time, so far at least. The digital timekeeping portion also seems to hold time pretty well. The timer function, on the other hand, is a complete mess. Say you set a timer, 5 minutes for example. You scroll through each digit and set the desired interval. It's a one-way "count", so if you miss your mark, you have to go around. For timers longer than 1 hour, this means clicking through 24 hours! This is annoying, since my old watch used two buttons for setting; one for "up" another for "down". Much easier. Anyway, so you get the time set and start the timer. 5 minutes elapses, the alarm sounds. You press the "set" button to stop the alarm. You press it a second time to reset it to the preselected 5 minute interval. If you bump it one more time, it goes back to 0:00! Now you have to reset the timer from scratch. I don't mean you hold down the button to set, just a regular 1/8 second tap resets it. Needless to say, this is quite stupid. I use my timer a lot, and have lost count how many times I've accidentaly bumped the timer set button and had it reset, even when it's not actively timing.
Well, those are the boggest issues.
I hope those who took the time to read this long-winded message will consider the issues before buying this watch.
If you are looking for a nice-looking watch that you can wear to meetings and such, this is a good choice.
If you are looking for a feature-rich workhorse for daily use that can take a beating, keep looking.

(More customer reviews)I'm 19 years old and have had this watch for about a year now. I LOVE IT. I got it because I have a very small wrist and can't fit into most adult watches. It doesn't look incredibly childish, and if you prefer, you could always try to change the wristbands. It lights up in the dark too, which is handy at times. The second hand is great for me as well because I need it for nursing school. I highly recommend it :) It's also cheap hehe

(More customer reviews)This watch is an excellent value for what you get. It has a band that fits my large wrist with one notch to spare. The time number is 3/8th of an inch tall. Easy to see for older folks. The day of the month is about 1/4 of an inch tall. The month is not shown however. No problem as most of us know what month we are in. The day of the week is a little poor in reading but you will get used to it. Water resistant but do not hit a button hard under water as it will leak. It has an extra time slot for showing a different time zone once you set it. Nothing fancy or complicated here. I won't have to constantly school myself and check a manual to operate it as the controls are laid out simply. I don't need to jam my finger in hard to press the button in. THIS WATCH WAS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. Simple, cheap and no big deal if it gets broken. I will buy another when the time comes. I hope Timex keeps selling it.
