(More customer reviews)Gave it away. It was nicely presented, but should also show all the ugly colors on the back of the watch, as it only shows on the picture those beautiful yellow and pink pastel. It also has red, dark blue in a very ugly pattern. Definitely did not like. Very bad taste.

(More customer reviews)I recently got this watch and wanted to respond to the other review that said this watch was the size of a women's watch. It's not. Granted it is not as large as some other men's watches out there today, but to me watches have gotten ridiculously large. It's like having a hockey puck attached to your wrist. This watch is basically the same size as every other "field" watch I've ever had, and I've had many, including those from LL Bean, Victorinox and Wenger.
My only complaint about the watch is that the ticking is fairly loud. Otherwise it's fine, especially for $40. The gray face is understated and the Indiglo feature still amazes me 15 years after it was introduced. Plus, its a Timex, so you can be assured that its decent quality and that it won't cost you $100 or more to get the battery replaced.

The Timex Expedition is easy to read, good looking, and the face lights up when you press the stem, perfect for night use. The band has eight holes, enough to accomodate a very small wrist. Amazon's price was 25% less than I found in a nearby "walk-in" store. I couldn't be happier with the purchase!

While it looks like a sturdy but casual watch, this Timex Expedition is built to excel just about anywhere you take it, as demonstrated by its most celebrated owner, Everest mountaineer Conrad Anker. The hands are illuminated, and the white dial also features the Indiglo night light function and a date calendar at the three o'clock position. Black Arabic numerals and full indexes allow for easy time-keeping in any situation. The strap is a dark brown leather. The watch also features a metallic case and is water resistant to 165 feet (50 meters). The watch uses analog-quartz movement.
