Large and in charge, the very masculine Timex T29761 stainless steel men's watch matches well with both business and sporty casual wear. The large round, silver watch case features a unidirectional rotating bezel in black and gold with coin-edged highlights. THE BIG PRICE DIFFERENCE WITH OTHER PERPETUAL CALENDAR WATCHES MADE ME HESITATE IF IT WOULD BE WORKING REALLY AS A PERPETUAL CALENDAR WATCH ALL YEAR LONG YEAR AFTER YEAR BUT FINALLY A DECIDED TO TAKE THE RISK AND I BOUGHT IT IN FEFRUARY 2009.
I HAVE TO SAY THAT IT HAS FULLY ACCOMPLISHED MY EXPECTATIONS, ON THE 28TH OF FEBRUARY TRESPASSED TO FIRST OF MARCH SMOOTHLY AT MID NIGHT, THAT FINALLY CONVINCED ME THAT I WOULD HAVE THE RIGHT DATE ON MY WRIST FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.
THE ONLY CONSIDERATION I WOULD POINT OUT IS THAT BEING OVER 45 MY SIGHT IS NOT SO SHARP AS IT USED TO BE AND THE DATE FIGURES ARE SMALL ENOUGH TO BE DIFFICULT TO BE READ MAINLY UNDER ARTIFICIAL LIGHT.
I THINK IT WOULD BE A GREAT IMPROVEMENT IF THEY WOULD MOUNT A DIAL WINDOW WITH A MAGNIFIER BUBBLE ON THE AREA OF THE DATE.
AFTER ALL TO HAVE ALWAYS THE CORRECT DATE IS THE MAIN CHARACTERISTIC OF THE WATCH AND TO HAVE THIS DATE PERFECTLY READABLE FOR EVERYBODY REGARDLESS OF THE SHARPNESS OF HIS SIGHT WOULD BE A PLUS.
I AM HAPPY TO HAVE PURCHASED IT AND I RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE LOOKING FOR A PERPETUAL CALENDAR WATCH.

(More customer reviews)Great watch with many great features. I love the size of the digital layout and the metal band is durable. To resize the band, push out the pins from the side that looks like screws.
Pros: Accurate, good looking, multiple alarms, timer, and stop-watch.
Cons: Metal band latch sometimes deforms, making it hard to latch. You have to bend it a certain way to make it work. The analog hands sometimes get out of sync with the digital time. You can fix that easily, but annoying sometimes. Lastly, at night you can't use the watch features. There is a light, but it occupies a button used for setting alarms and such. So if you are setting your alarm, you can't see the display. Timex has a night feature that, once enabled, turns the light on with every button press. My former watch had it and it was a very handy feature.
Great for the price.

The face is smaller than I expected but it is easy to read. My decision to buy this particular watch was influenced by Amazon's fair price and free shipping. Overall, I am very satisfied with the watch which has been running for over a month. I have enjoyed wearing it every day since silver or gold jewelry goes nicely with it.

(More customer reviews)Initially I was very happy with this watch. When it stopped after only 4 months, I assumed the battery was dead from having been running in the store, but it checked out fine. After reinserting the battery, the watch ran fine for about 3 days, but since then on 4 occasions I have picked the watch up from my nightstand to find the crown pulled fully out, and the watch stopped. After the first time, I've always made sure it was pushed in when I put it down, so I can only assume something is wrong in the watch that causes the (non-screw down) crown to eject. Very weird.

(More customer reviews)Watch leaked after just 5 Dives. After the fifth dive I noticed condensation on the inside of watch face and the indiglo light stopped working. Watch is supposed to be water resistant to 100m. Didn't dive close to that depth. Returned it. Had a feeling it wasn't just a lemon and probably would happen again with and exchange. Going to shop for a more expensive dive watch which is what I should have done in the first place. Watch worked well at telling time, so if you don't plan to dive with it then it will probably be just fine.

(More customer reviews)Just picked this up NIB from an ebay vendor. Initial observations (strictly from the view of the author):
1. Plastic insert around the crown a bit hard to remove; had to be cut off.
2. Initial timing for first 24 hours is accurate within +/- a second with the setting not done against an outside timing source and just relying on my existing quartz watches.
3. Readability may be a problem due to no lume on hands or markers and minute markers between the numbered markers (on chapter ring) hard to read unless watch is held at different angles.
4. For a time-only watch, the case seems a bit thick. I have calendar watches that are slimmer. (Measured case width at 38MM without crown; 40MM with crown; case thickness not yet measured.)
5. Watch strap (Chinese made) a bit stiff, but a poupular-size lug width (20MM) make availability for interchangeable straps easy. (And strap may become more flexible with use.)
6. Water-resistance (100M) good for a watch in this price range.
7. Pricing from this vendor good at 50% of MSRP with free delivery.
8. Overall an attractive and useful watch for those desiring a simple and inexpensive timepiece with no complications other than a small second hand in subdial at the 6 o'clock position.
9. Printed instruction sheet states that warranty (1-year against manufacturing defects only and excluding the usual strap,case,crystal, battery, misuse) is good only if purchased from an AD, but [...] confirms that warranty will be honored regardless of purchase source if new. Timex also offers a warranty extension for new watches to 5 years for $5 if purchased within a certain period of initial ownership.
I'll update as the "experience factor" kicks in.

Casio Men's MDV102-1AV Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great looking sports watch, and the light is really bright - it's a white LED both at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, so it allows for nice visibility in low light. The stainless steel case is nicely polished and looks very sharp. This watch really looks more expensive than it is, and I've had people ask about it when wearing it. It's an eye catching watch.
The MDV102-1AV is 200m water resistant, which means it can handle you going swimming, snorkeling, even some diving without much problem. This watch has a screw-down crown too, which makes it even more water resistant. The only thing to watch out for is washing the dishes, hot tubbing, or showering with it - warm/hot water isn't great for watertight seals on watches. I've heard it can weaken the seals and cause a leak.
The little marlin on the watch is a great touch, and the face is very easy to read. The white markers contrast really well with the black dial, and even have a mirror-like edge to them, which makes the markers stand out even more. The offset date at 4 o'clock makes it look interesting, too.
My only disappointment was the band - it's a hard rubbery band and not very comfortable. That's why I took off one star from my rating. Aside from the band this watch really rocks! To solve that, I bought a Timex Expedition Adjustable 16-20mm watch strap TX977761L, Timex watchband, Fast - Wrap Expedition, 16-20mm, Black, Adjustable, Long. It's for a Timex Expedition, so it says Timex on it, but it's a great velcro strap that's really easy to adjust and install on the Casio.
If you decide you want to change straps like me, just pop out the strap that comes with the Casio, pull out and save the little springs, then attach the Casio (using it's springs) to the Timex strap. Took 3 minutes and I love the adjustable Timex strap, it's very comfortable and dries out easily when it's gotten wet.
I definitely recommend this watch. It's well worth the money for the water resistance, and looks really nice!
