For practicality's sake it has all 12 numbers clearly visible and a second hand (important to me as a nurse) and has been working for over a year and a half on its original battery. The water resistance is a nice feature and although I have dropped this watch on tile floors numerous times it has not dented, scratched or broken. What do you know, it really DOES take a licking and keep on ticking!
But the nicest thing in my opinion is that this watch really looks great. The twisted rope bezel detail surrounding the watch's round face is elegant and the expansion band has a classy textured design. The watch is excellent for women with small wrists/hands since its dimensions are small - petite face, thin band that look well-proportioned on those of us who find larger/thicker watches to be overwhelming. I was so pleased with the way this watch looks (and at such as low price!) that I bought 2 backups since I have a habit of losing watches. My only two quibbles are as follows:
1) It lacks the "indiglo" feature where you can light up the face to check the time in the dark and
2) For a watch of such perfect petite proportions, which appear to be geared towards smaller women, the expansion band is too big! I had to go to the mall and have several links removed to make it fit. The cost to have the band adjusted was almost as much as the watch itself. Perhaps Timex could offer it in two different band sizes? In any case, it fits perfectly now and I love it. After years of owning utilitarian watches, it gives me great pleasure to own a pretty one!
